Our History
Family Owned & Operated Since 1981
The family's dedication to the heat treating industry has driven the company’s success. With a strong commitment to customer service, Continental Stress has grown to become the leading heat treating company in Western Canada.
Our Founder
Siegfried Huegler
1940-1992
Founded in 1981, Continental Stress was established to bring the highest quality in heat treating technology directly to your job site. Although our founder passed away too soon, his legacy lives on. Siegfried fully embraced the entrepreneurial spirit and had an unwavering passion for excellence. His motto was, “If it were easy, everyone would be doing it.”
After his passing, the monumental task of carrying on his passion and innovations was taken up by the second generation of our family. The path has not always been easy, with many challenges along the way, but thanks to Siegfried’s inspiring legacy, his values still thrive within our company today.
Our Commitment to Excellence
Our success comes from many factors, but the most important is our commitment to providing top-quality service, combined with continual investment in our people and equipment. We are proud to have a dedicated team of loyal employees who have been with us for decades.
Our management team and top technicians bring over 300 years of combined experience and expertise to the table. Very few companies can match this level of industry knowledge, and we take pride in being one of them.
At Continental, most of us grew up in the industry. We are a family-run business, and we’re proud to now introduce the third generation of heat treaters to our company.
We truly live by our motto: “Born to Heat Treat!”
